Meet The Team

-Rebekah Finn M.A.A.T

Prior to starting my own accountancy firm, I was employed by HMRC as a Compliance Officer for 10 years, which gave me a good grounding in all aspects of tax, from PAYE to Self-Employment, and Limited Company requirements.

Since January 1994 I have been providing a personal tax, accounting and bookkeeping service to many different fields of industry.

I have used a number of different accounting programs and payroll bureaus depending on the needs of the companies I have worked for.

I have also served on the board of a medium sized signage company as their Finance Director for 16 years, then for a further 5 years as the Financial Controller when it became part of a group.

This gave me not only experience in bookkeeping, accounting and management reporting but also in the day to day running of a business. An insight that can only come from being closely involved with the day to day ups and downs of being in business.

This is the kind of expertise that my clients have found to be invaluable.

I offer a service that guarantees that I am the person who will speak to you when you have issues to resolve, or questions on moving your business forward. You will not have to wait to speak to me directly, and if you leave me a message I will reply within the day.

-Ella Williams M.A.A.T

I'm Ella, an accountant at Finer Accountancy Ltd. I have been working with the company since 2019, when I started my college course in accounting. I have since achieved AAT level 4 and my AAT membership.

Working at a practice has really assisted me in my studies, and made learning the technicalities of accountancy and bookkeeping so much easier when seeing it in 'real life' situations. Through the company I have also become a pro-advisor for Quickbooks and attended their advance certification course.

Accountancy is definitely the career for me, as I really enjoy helping people, and I love maths, so it is a perfect blend of both. I have also embraced the company's ethos of making tax easy for the client, helping them to understand their accounts and assisting them to grow their business.

-Annabel

I'm Annabel, the trainee bookkeeper at Finer Accountancy Ltd. I have been working with the company since September 2021.  During that time I have completed BTEC qualification in Administration and I am currently studying AAT Bookkeeping Level 2.

Working at a practice has really assisted me on seeing how what I am learning works in the real world.  I am hoping to become qualified to do accounts eventually and the experience I am getting now will be very helpful for me in the future.

On a personal level, working with this company has not only brought me new skills but I have also found new friends.

I chose this career because I like organising and I like the idea of helping people with their problems. I enjoy working for the company because the atmosphere we have created is warm and friendly, and I am getting great support in my career.

"I began book keeping in 2009, by helping Rebekah with her sole trader accounts on an ad hoc basis, she trained me initially for manual double entry book keeping, once I understood that I was taught to do book-keeping in Excel. I have been looking after the day to day finances and book-keeping for my husband's company since he went self-employed and recently moved it all into Quickbooks.

My main employment is as the facilities help desk coordinator for a large insurance company, but as the years have gone by, I have found myself wanting to do more of the book keeping work, so in 2020 I became a qualified Intuit Quickbooks Pro-advisor, and have been trained to do bank reconciliation, and created a bespoke Quickbooks set up for a lettings agency.

I pride myself on my organisational skills, and believe there is a place for everything and everything has a place. That is how I approach all of my work, it needs to be tidy and accurate. In fact, it brings me pleasure to assist my clients in keeping their finances in good order.
